Sales Manager
DSS GAMES is a leading creator of irreverent, one-of-a-kind social games. With each game, we strive to “Keep it weird” and produce them in the most sustainable way possible.
Our games are sold nationally through accounts such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Barnes & Noble, Urban Outfitters, and others. All of our games are actual tabletop games (not video games or apps.) We are all about getting people off their phones and into the here and now.
POSITION SUMMARY:

Reports To: Co-CEO (Sales)
Direct Reports: Sales Operations Manager
As Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Co-CEO (Sales) to increase sales of the Company’s games and other products across multiple channels throughout the US and internationally. You will be responsible for managing a variety of accounts on your own and developing new customers as we grow our Company further.
Sales - 60%
- Manage new and existing Company accounts
- Pitch new products to Buyers with follow-up through to obtaining POs
- Develop pitch decks, working with Company designers for Buyer meetings
- Drive YoY growth across our existing and new titles on Amazon.com
- Lead year-round Amazon.com monitoring, ensure all ASINs are displaying properly, work autonomously to troubleshoot issues, monitor inventory levels & optimize ASINs
- Create and publish ongoing sales projections (demand planning) to inform printing
- Utilize company CRM (Cin7) to track ongoing sales efforts
- Provide customer service; act as Company point person for accounts under management
- Review promotions, co-op expenses, mark-downs, and all other relevant account terms with Co-CEO (Sales)
- Work with the Marketing Director on select marketing efforts and materials
- Attend various trade shows as needed, including the NY Toy Show and Spielwarenmesse (Nuremberg Toy Show)
- Occasional travel to meet with customers
Business Development - 30%
- Expand the Company’s list of Accounts for National, Specialty, and Small Retailers throughout the US and internationally
- Conduct outreach to new accounts, new distributors, and new sales channels and follow up with pitch meetings
- Play a key role in working to expand the Company's international business outside of North America
- Expand the Company’s list of Discount Retailers and Liquidators
- Develop leads to new customers via trade show lists and other means
- Identify potential new trade shows for the Company to attend
Sales Support - 10%
- Provide Sales support to Co-CEO (Sales) as needed
- Schedule appointments with buyers
- Organize printing of sales materials (including sales sheets, order forms, and catalogs)
- Oversee in-house work to create mock-ups for sales efforts
- For all POs, ensure all compliance/vendor requirements are met with the Supply Chain/Logistics departments
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- College Graduate
- 5 years of relevant sales experience selling to major “big box” retailers in the U.S.
- Experience selling on Amazon (either 1P or 3P)
- Willingness to work weekends, Holidays and off-hours during peak Q4 selling (Nov/Dec)
- Great communication skills, an excellent writer
- Analytical experience and aptitude
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with changing priorities, evolving responsibilities and scope of work in a rapidly growing company

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience selling a consumer product in Retail
- Comfortable in small, casual office environment (prior experience working at a start-up or small business a plus)
