As our Shipping & Logistics Manager, you will work to improve all aspects of the global supply chain function (strategy, resource optimization, profitability) by reviewing current methodology and processes to maximize efficiency

 

As Shipping & Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with retailers, partners, and distributors.

As the Company continues to grow, you will hire and manage a Coordinator to work with you. 

 

Reports To: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS 

 

Exempt, full-time position with benefits



Order Management & Fulfillment - 40%

  • Become Company’s EDI expert to optimize and improve PO order flows
  • Further develop our EDI system (SPS Commerce or other software) to handle complex order flows from big box retailers
  • Collaborate with the Operations Assistant to ensure the timely delivery of POs to our customers worldwide 
  • Collaborate with Sales on item forecasts 
  • Point person for all Amazon issues - reviewing product pages for accuracy and opening cases in Vendor Support (as necessary)
  • Manage Amazon PO order flow via EDI between Vendor Central and Warehouse
  • Collaborate with other departments to close operational gaps




Inventory Management - 30%

  • Collaborate with Partners and Director of Operations on inventory worldwide to ensure proper inventory levels on all products at all times
  • Identify and implement an ERP system to create sustainable systems to effectively manage inventory at domestic and international warehouses 
  • Monitor inventory for overstock situations and work to find solutions to these issues with our Partners
  • Ensure Amazon (FBA & Vendor Central) is maintaining healthy inventory levels, not understocked or overstocked on individual items 
  • Maintain working relationships with distributors worldwide

 

 

Shipping + Logistics - 30%

  • Research and seek out the most cost-effective shipment procedures and methods
  • Oversee the following: 
    • - Freight forwarder logistics + confirmation of space
    • - Confirmation of vendor guidelines re: weight, volume and packing details
    • - Final delivery of goods at destination and tracking of shipments en-route
    • - Review of shipping documentation, such as including bills of lading, packing lists, dock receipts, and certificates of origin
    • - Verify proper packaging and labeling of products
    • - Provide detailed port information to freight forwarders
  • Communicate and inform the internal team of factors such as shipping options, timelines, transfers, or regulations affecting shipments
  • Works with freight forwarders and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements)
  • Review international and domestic shipping bills for accuracy 



Requirements 

  • College graduate 
  • 4+ years of supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple projects
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  • Experience fulfilling orders utilizing EDI
  • San Diego candidates are preferred. This position will be remote to start but would require onsite work in San Diego

    As our EDITORIAL MANAGER you will be responsible for the development and delivery of all editorial work on new games published by the Company as you work with and manage various freelancers. The EDITORIAL MANAGER oversees, as project manager, these same new games from conception through to finished files. This position also involves setting up and managing a system of play testing and product review of new titles in development. 

     

    Exempt, full-time position with benefits 

     

    Reports To: CREATIVE DIRECTOR 

     

    Editorial Development – 50% 

    - Oversee development and delivery of all editorial for all new games working with partners, freelance writers, playtesters etc. 
    - Help write initial sample content for new projects working with Creative Director 
    - Synthesize playtest notes into clear feedback on how to improve revised content 
    - Working with Creative Director, edit and refine game content, game rules and package copy 
    - Work with writers as they work through rounds of content giving them feedback and direction 
    - Propose and write copy for game packaging and marketing materials

       

      Project Management – 25% 

      - Oversee and ensure timely completion of all new games in production from initial concept to finished files 
      - Manage freelance writers working on new games, and cultivate new writers 
      - Manage freelance copy editors working on new games, and cultivate new editors 
      - Manage freelance designers, and cultivate new designers 
      - Lead weekly production meetings for titles in production 
      - Ensure project files are up to date and properly stored
      - Develop and refine systems, working with Operations Manager, to ensure best practices are in place 
      - Manage editorial schedules for all new titles in development 

         

        Play-Testing/Product Review – 15% 

        - Develop, implement and publish systems by which all games in development will be fully play-tested and reviewed 
        - Source groups to playtest and review games in development as well as new ideas for games. 
        - Manage playtest/product review events 
        - Compile and review playtest/product review results with Creative Director and others 

           

          Creative Development – 10% 

          - Working with Creative Director and others, refine games in development as well as new ideas for games. 
          - Contribute to New Idea meetings 
          - Work with Creative Director to refine new ideas for games 
          - Manage and maintain a “New Ideas” list for possible new games 
          - Prepare materials, as needed, for playesting of select new ideas for games

             

            Minimum qualifications: 

            - College graduate 
            - 4 years relevant editorial experience 
            - Experience managing freelancers 
            - Skilled editor 
            - Experienced project manager

                - Creative thinker

                    MARKETING ASSISTANT

                    As the Marketing Assistant you will be an integral part of our marketing efforts for our entire catalogue of new and best selling games. You will work directly with the Head of Marketing to build our brand and our audience of millions of friends and families getting together for the best Friday night ever! We’re looking for someone well rounded in a full suite of social and digital media channels with lots of creativity and strong attention to detail. 

                     

                    Exempt, full-time position with benefits 

                     

                    Social Media - 50%

                    - Manage content calendar for primary and secondary social media channels including but not limited to: TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat
                    - Create original and engaging photo and video content
                    - Monitor and respond to our growing audience on all social platforms
                    - Research & develop meaningful relationships with relevant influencer partners

                         

                        Marketing - 40%

                        - Manage ecommerce storefronts and product pages - (product shots, videos, and keyword rich descriptions) on Shopify and Amazon
                        - Develop library of assets to populate product pages including product shots + videos
                        - Assist in development of creative campaigns & new product launches
                        - Assist in full digital media suite of Email, PPC, and Paid Social Marketing strategies
                        - Assist in monthly marketing performance review and analytics

                             

                            Admin - 10%

                            - Initiate outbound/PR Outreach
                            - Coordinate mailers - press kits and new game samples
                            - Some misc administrative tasks as needed

                                 

                                Minimum qualifications:

                                - 2-3+ years experience (internships included) working in Social Media, Marketing, or PR
